Directions for Artifact #19
Create two classroom newsletters. One letter should be written as if it were going home to your students’ parents the first week of school. This letter should include (but is not limited to) the following:

  • Brief introduction of yourself
  • Classroom rules and expectations
  • Goals and objectives for the year
  • A statement about your homework policy as well as what parents and students can expect in terms of homework assignments.
  • Other important information.
  • Your contact information.

The second newsletter should be done as a Web Page. This can be easily done in the Web Page Builder portion of TaskStream. This Web Page should include (but is not limited to) the following:

  • Report of the class activities
  • Homework
  • Upcoming events
  • Celebration of children’s accomplishments

Please include graphics. Visual presentation is key to having both parents and children interested in reading the communication.
